Phyllis Ohunwu- School Counselor

Bio:  I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself! My name is Ms. Ohunwu and I am the 4-8th Elementary School Counselor. I am also offering adult counseling. I am so excited to be part of the Alfred Nobel Dual Language School family. As a School Counselor, my primary responsibility is to promote the academic, career, and social/emotional development of all students.  I will be meeting with students individually and in small groups, meeting with parents, and collaborating with teachers and staff, to benefit and meet the needs of all Alfred Nobel Dual Language Elementary School students, staff, and parents.

Biografía: Me gustaría aprovechar esta oportunidad para presentarme. Mi nombre es Sra. Ohunwu y soy la consejera de la escuela primaria de 4.º a 8.º grado. También ofrezco asesoramiento para adultos. Estoy muy emocionada de ser parte de la familia de Alfred Nobel Dual Language School. Como consejera escolar, mi principal responsabilidad es promover el desarrollo académico, profesional y socioemocional de todos los estudiantes. Me reuniré con los estudiantes de forma individual y en grupos pequeños, me reuniré con los padres y colaboraré con los maestros y el personal para beneficiar y satisfacer las necesidades de todos los estudiantes, el personal y los padres de la escuela primaria Alfred Nobel Dual Language Elementary School.

Danielle Martinez- School Counselor

Bio:  Hello Nobel Family!  My name is Danielle Martinez, one of the school counselors here at Nobel.  I am excited to be a part of the Nobel community helping to support the students through their education, life, and future.  I have worked for CPS for 6 years in the special education area at the High School level and look forward to working in elementary.  If there are any concerns or questions please do not hesitate to schedule an appointment using the calendar link provided or send me an email.  Thank you and let's have a wonderful school year!!

    Provides essential tools and support to help survivors of domestic violence so they can live their lives free of abuse. Highly trained, expert advocates offer free, 24/7/365 confidential, and compassionate support, crisis intervention information, education, and referral services in over 200 languages.

  • Screening, Assessment and Support Services (SASS): (800)345-9049
    Provides intensive mental health services for children and youth (under 18) who may need hospitalization for mental health care. Services include crisis intervention, linkage, and coordination of services to other community based mental health agencies for aftercare and outpatient treatment.
